Morgan Freeman will take marijuana any way it comes -- even legally

Morgan Freeman isn’t picky about how he consumes his drug of choice. That drug is marijuana, and he says he’ll happily “eat it, drink it, smoke it, snort it!”

And when it comes to legalization, he’s definitely on board to do it — for the children.

“My first wife got me into it many years ago,” the 77-year-old actor tells the Daily Beast. Now he also uses it, in part, because it helps with pain stemming from injuries suffered in a 2008 car accident. “Marijuana has many useful uses.”

Since his left shoulder, arm and elbow were trashed in that rollover crash — four-plus hours of surgery to try to reattach nerves — weed’s apparently the only thing that helps with what he describes as fibromyalgia pain in that limb.

(Remember, folks, that’s a compression glove he’s always wearing, not a fake hand. Keep talking crazy like that and people might think you’re smoking dope.)

“They’re talking about kids who have grand mal seizures, and they’ve discovered that marijuana eases that down to where these children can have a life,” Freeman adds in support of the useful-uses argument. “That right there, to me, says, ‘Legalize it across the board!’”

Unlike alcohol, he notes, marijuana in his opinion has no negative effects.

“Now, the thrust is understanding that alcohol has no real medicinal use. Maybe if you have one drink it’ll quiet you down, but two or three and ...,” Freeman says.
