Kim Kardashian-Kanye West wedding: Who, what, where? Forget why

It’s Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s wedding week, which means it’s time again to round up the details, running from rumors to real-life moments captured in photographs and video.

Paparazzi have been doing big business catching Kardashian family members in airports on this continent and in Europe as they travel to the Saturday wedding, which reportedly will include a Parisian pre-wedding dinner and more on Friday.

Photographers swarmed Kim Kardashian on Saturday at LAX as she wheeled daughter North West in a stroller on their way out of town. Then a bunch of her luggage — reportedly 12 pieces — got the pap treatment upon arrival in France.

Kourtney Kardashian made a decent showing in the luggage department as well, letting her nine suitcases (four of them Louis Vuitton) pose for the cameras as she showed up at LAX with daughter Penelope and son Mason.

TMZ managed to snag a particularly unflattering photo of Rob Kardashian with mom Kris Jenner as they hit LAX on Sunday, and then Parisian paps picked up the ball on the other end of the flight, catching Kourtney carrying Penelope and trailing behind with Jenner as they left Charles de Gaulle Airport on Monday. Rob kept his head down and his clothes loose-fitting later as the group entered the Hotel George V.

An Instagram post by Khloe Kardashian on Monday featured an airplane emoji as the caption, perhaps indicating she’s on her way.

West seems to have arrived in Paris more discreetly, but he’s definitely on location: Kim posted a pic on Instagram Monday of herself — and her behind — strolling on a quaint street with her man. Their outfits revealed the photo to have been snapped on Sunday, as they were the same ones shown in shots of the couple stopping for Haagen-Dazs in Paris. Kanye showed the front view of himself and his fiancee in a photo taken in Paris posted Monday.

(That strolling shot was also posted on Instagram by half-sis Kendall Jenner, who, um, “distinguished” herself Sunday night at the Billboard Music Awards by butchering the introduction of band 5SOS — she started to call it One Direction — and then making it worse by noting, “I’m the worst reader.”)

Jenner, meanwhile, on Monday posted a shot of herself on an amusement ride with the Eiffel Tower in the background. “Love on a merry-go-round!!!! #nightsinparis #herecomesthebride #KanyeheartsKim,” she wrote.

Besides the obvious family members, the guest list, once rumored to contain as many 1,600 names until Kim denied that notion, will befit a “small and intimate” affair, a source told People on Sunday.

One definite no: “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” exec producer Ryan Seacrest won’t make the party. Maybe something to do with having to appear live on the “American Idol” finale Tuesday and Wednesday?

One reported yes: Serena Williams, who at the beginning of May was spotted at Paris’ House of Balmain with Kim for what was rumored to be a final wedding-dress fitting. The tennis star Instagrammed a picture of herself in an “I [heart] Roma” shirt on Sunday, the same day she won the Italian Open for the third time. Hey, at least she’s in the neighborhood.

Which brings us to the whole question of geography: Where is this shindig really going down? News out early Friday put the wedding and reception in Florence, Italy. But later in the day, TMZ said the Palace of Versailles — a place Kim had denied scouting this year — was the real destination.

But wait, not so fast! The couple apparently aren’t sufficiently distinguished to tie the knot at that French venue, the Daily Mail reported Monday. (Can we even call Versailles a mere venue? Table that for future debate.) Kimye and company will still snag an after-hours treat, however.

“Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have decided to visit the Chateau of Versailles with their guests in a private surprise tour organised for Friday, May 23rd, on the eve of their marriage,” the palace’s president said in a statement to the paper that pretty much killed the “surprise” element of the outing.

But there was one surprise wedding gift, reportedly coming from Ray J, Kim’s partner in the infamous sex tape that fueled her rise to the celebrity ranks. He’s giving the happy couple a check in the neighborhood of $47,000, TMZ reported Monday. That’s the total the “I Hit It First” singer reportedly earned from the sex tape for the first four months of the year.

If the couple reject his unique offering, sources said, he’ll donate the cash the charity. In the meantime, his name is back in the spotlight.
