Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony’s divorce -- which lasted long enough that both were able to begin and end significant relationships in the interim -- has been finalized.

The couple’s plan to split, which went public in July 2011, was initially described in a joint statement as a “difficult decision†but an “amicable†one. Anthony didn’t file divorce papers until April 2012, by which time Lopez was months into a relationship with backup dancer Casper Smart.

Though negotiations about money and custody were wrapped up in March, E! News said, court backlogs kept the final judgment from being entered until Monday.

Lopez will have primary custody of 6-year-old twins Max and Emme, while Anthony gets them seven days each month with nannies in tow. That according to TMZ, which first reported the divorce-is-final news. The exes both agreed to shield the kids from paparazzi-types, the website said.

Also, there’s no child or spousal support being paid by either person, which is probably good news for Anthony. The singer just saw his child-support payments to ex-wife Dayanara Torres doubled to $26,800 a month, according to Us Weekly.

That could have been much worse: Torres originally wanted the monthly nut increased to $123,426. Also, now Anthony only has to keep paying up until his two sons with her turn 18, rather than 21, as had been originally agreed upon. The boys were born in 2001 and 2003.

Anthony married Lopez only one week after his divorce from Torres was finalized in 2004. The chances of something like that happening this time around are much slimmer, as he and his most recent girlfriend, Chloe Green, reportedly cut things off in February.

Lopez and Smart’s breakup, which reportedly happened in late April, went public the first week of June. And no, she has clarified, she’s not dating anyone new yet.
