Jennifer Lawrence’s loveable antics are hitting a fever pitch as the final installment of “The Hunger Games†franchise makes it way to theaters this Friday.
The Oscar winner has been everywhere promoting “Mockingjay — Part 2†on the red carpet (when she isn’t falling), on television and in innumerable interviews, and she hasn’t disappointed in the candid remarks and inappropriate tales departments.
On Wednesday, the 25-year-old stopped by “The Tonight Show†and joined Jimmy Fallon in a silly infomercial segment called “Come Dance With Us†in which she and the host did quick-changes as overly enthusiastic dance instructors imploring a 3 a.m. QVC audience to dance with them during a series of instructional dance videos — Vol. 1, 2 and 3, to be exact.
“Don’t we seem like the kind of people you want to dance with?†Lawrence said, dressed up in Coke-bottle glasses, a brunet wig and a frilly get-up as she and Fallon demonstrated moves like “Check the Door,†“Bury the Nut†and “PeekaBoo-Achoo,†among many others.
At a New York screening of “Mockingjay — Part 2,†the actress still kept things lighthearted — despite mean-mugging the cameras — and clarified the quotes she gave in her Vogue interview about having a hard time dating.
“This is the problem. You have a conversation with somebody, and you’re like, ‘Blah, blah, blah.’ And then all of a sudden these quotes like, ‘Jennifer Lawrence can’t date.’ ‘Jennifer Lawrence is gay.’ You wake up and it’s like … pow. It’s not a big deal. I’m cool. I’m good. I am a virgin again. That part is true,†the “Joy†star told Extra, which noted that most guys find her intimidating. To that, she replied, “No, I mostly don’t find guys I like! Ha ha.â€

(Bertrand Guay / AFP/Getty Images) Also on Wednesday, the Kentucky native disclosed the sheer weirdness of shooting her first sex scene for “Passengers,†the 2016 sci-fi adventure that pairs her with “Jurassic World†star Chris Pratt.
“I had my first real sex scene a couple weeks ago [while shooting ‘Passengers’ with Pratt], and it was really bizarre. It was really weird,†she said during the Hollywood Reporter’s actress roundtable. “It was weird. And everything was done right; nobody did anything wrong. It’s just a bizarre experience.â€
When asked how she prepared for the scene, she said, “You drink.â€
“I got really, really drunk. But then that led to more anxiety when I got home because I was like, ‘What have I done? I don’t know.’ And he was married [to ‘Mom’ star Anna Faris]. And it was going to be my first time kissing a married man, and guilt is the worst feeling in your stomach. And I knew it was my job, but I couldn’t tell my stomach that,†she continued. “So I called my mom, and I was like, ‘Will you just tell me it’s OK?’ It was just very vulnerable. And you don’t know what’s too much. You want to do it real, you want everything to be real, but then … That was the most vulnerable I’ve ever been.â€
Incidentally, the actress only played vulnerable earlier this week, when she and “Hunger Games†costars Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth turned the tables on Smosh pranksters Anthony Padilla and Ian Hecox.
The trio teamed up with Prank It Forward, a charitable pranking organization, to grant Smosh fan Dylan Miceli-Nelson, who suffers from muscular dystrophy, his wish of pranking the YouTube stars.
Lawrence sat down for an interview with Hecox as Miceli-Nelson, Hutcherson and Hemsworth stood by feeding wacky ideas to Lawrence on how to prank the perennial prankster, who also was getting feed from Padilla on how to carry himself during the interview. The actress remained on edge during the sit-down, shot darts at her interviewer, got offended when he took off his shoes and finally walked out of the interview.
“I was being serious about the lack of respect. This is like, a waste of everybody’s time,†Lawrence said. “I’m sorry, I feel like you’re not really a professional.â€
After she walked out, Hemsworth and Hutcherson walked in to give Hecox another scare and asked him what he did to offend their costar — and that’s when he finally figured out that they’d been messing with him the whole time. Watch it above.
