‘Jane the Virgin’ star Gina Rodriguez is reportedly dating Ben Schwartz
OK, here’s where we left off: Gina Rodriguez used to date Henri Esteve, but they broke up and now she’s supposedly dating Ben Schwartz.
And here we thought we only had Team Michael and Team Raphael to contend with.
The “Jane the Virgin†star has been linked to the “House of Lies†and “Parks and Recreation†actor, according to Us Weekly.
“She’s so happy,†a source told the mag. “She thinks he is so great, and all her friends love him.â€

Reps for both stars did not immediately respond to The Times’ requests for confirmation.
After meeting at a wrap party and dating for more than a year, Golden Globe-winner Rodriguez, 31, called it quits with “Revenge†actor Esteve in September. Last week, she was photographed seated by Schwartz at the Danny Garcia and Robert Guerrero WBC championship welterweight fight at Staples Center.
Rodriguez stayed tight-lipped about her relationships when she appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show†last week, but she did express her desire to be a mom, like her CW alter ego.
“I feel like they bring the baby up to me [on set], and my ovaries are like, ‘Ahh! Come here, baby!’ †she sang. “They don’t cry on the set. It’s like, perfect. As soon as one cries, they take it away from me and the other comes in. That’s what happens in real life, right? No? ... I want one so bad. I do. I don’t want the whole process. I just want one to arrive. ... I could adopt, right? Yeah, I just might do that. I definitely want to adopt.â€
On Monday, the CW star offered her stance on Hollywood’s hot topic: diversity. The Puerto Rican actress started “Movement Mondays†to showcase the work of fellow Latin American actors on social media.
“With all this Oscar Talk and lack of diversity I decided to start a movement and speak from the perspective of a Latina American who desires to see more Latinos on screen,†she wrote, promoting Guatemalan star Oscar Isaac. “There are 55 million Latinos in this country and although we all come from various backgrounds our unity can make a movie explode at the box office or a tv show soar to the highest viewers possible. The better these projects do financially, the more money they will spend on putting Latinos In blockbuster films, as leads in tv shows Etc. My solution is this, support is needed. Right now there isn’t one Latino that can Greenlight a movie. That means no studio will put their money behind a Latino face as a lead of a movie because they don’t believe we can make their money back.â€

Rodriguez added that she’s constantly told that “Latinos dont watch Latino Movies. Latinos don’t support each other.â€
“I’m not saying go and see a movie you don’t like to blind support, im saying if you want to see us represented on film and tv, if you want to see Latinos nominated for Oscars, we NEED to support one another. The industry sees money, the excuse can’t just be racism. We can make a difference in a very powerful way if we unite our support as one Latino community,†she continued.
Looks like she’s taken a page out of Jane’s do-gooder handbook.
