Russell Wilson, ‘his date Ciara’ listed as correspondents dinner guests
If Ciara and Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson are dating, they have four little words and three little letters -- AOL -- to blame for revealing the relationship.
The NFL star and the “Goodies†songstress have been romantically linked over the last few days, and speculation hit a fever pitch Thursday when the Washington Post got AOL’s partial guest list for this weekend’s White House Correspondents Dinner, listing Wilson “and his date Ciara†as attendees.
Though neither star has publicly acknowledged a romance, come Saturday, White House watchers and fans of the two might know for sure.
Seemingly aware of the rumors about his dinner date, Wilson took to Facebook on Thursday to post a video of himself dancing with his grandmother.
“Can’t wait to dance with my beautiful date at the WHCD this weekend! #shesgotmoves #loveugrandma,†the athlete wrote.
Maybe Grandma’s name is Ciara too?
Rumors of a relationship between the football star and the R&B singer cropped up when Ciara was spotted trying to fly under the radar with Wilson at last Saturday’s Seattle Mariners game.
E! News said Thursday that it had confirmed the romance via multiple unnamed sources who said the relationship is still very new but off to a “great†start.
“It’s still at the beginning stages and it’s very fresh,†one person told the publication. “She thinks he is a complete gentleman and has really enjoyed hanging out with him these past few weeks. It’s constant laughter and fun with them.â€
Ciara made headlines last August when reportedly she called off her engagement to rapper Future. The two, who share an 11-month-old son, allegedly got back together in December, but things didn’t seem to work out.
The quarterback, 26, went through a very public divorce last year from high school sweetheart Ashton Meem Wilson, whom he was married to for two years.
Ciara’s manager did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
