Hollywood Headlines: A crazy week in review
Demi Moore isn’t messing around with her health. After a recent scare, the actress is reported to be seeking treatment for addiction and an eating disorder at Cirque Lodge, a rehab facility in Utah. Moore’s problems became public after a 911 call made from her home was released to the media. The frantic caller described her as going into convulsions after “smoking something.” (Jason Kempin / Getty Images)
Gisele Bundchen was quick to place blame after her husband’s New England Patriots lost the Super Bowl to the New York Giants on Sunday. Hubby Tom Brady was spared her wrath, but the model didn’t hold her tongue when it came to the receivers on the team. “They did not catch the ball when they were supposed to catch the ball,” she vented, caught on video by “The Insider.” “My husband cannot ... control the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can’t believe they dropped the ball so many times.” (Rob Carr / Getty Images)
Robert Downey Jr. wasn’t joking when he told Jay Leno in December that he was expecting a baby boy. The “Iron Man” star and wife Susan welcomed Exton Elias on Tuesday in Los Angeles. The little guy arrived at 7:24 a.m. and weighed in at 7 pounds, 5 ounces. While Exton is the couple’s first baby together, Downey has a son named Indio, 18, from his previous marriage to Deborah Falconer. (Chris Pizzello / Associated Press)
Maria Menounos found herself showing some serious skin on “Extra” this week after losing a Super Bowl bet. The host put her faith in the wrong team and when the New England Patriots lost on Sunday she was forced to pay the price: hosting the show from Times Square in nothing but a bikini. Brrrrr. Katy Perry and Russell Brand never signed a prenup, leaving Perry’s mega millions at risk in the divorce. However, Brand is playing nice and opting to walk away from the more than $20 million he’s entitled to through California’s community property laws. Following suit, Perry won’t be asking for half of his earnings either, which would have been a much smaller haul. The settlement brings the couple one step closer to ending their marriage; however, the divorce won’t be final until June. (Joel Ryan / Associated Press)
Madonna can breathe easier now that her convicted stalker, Robert Dewey Hoskins, 54, is back in the state’s care. Hoskins walked out of a state mental hospital in Norwalk earlier this month and was returned to the facility on Friday. The troubled man tried to sneak onto Madonna’s property 20 years ago and was shot by her bodyguard. Afterward, he spent a decade in prison followed by multiple stints in state mental hospitals. Details on how he managed to walk out of the facility are scarce, but authorities describe him as “very psychotic” with violent tendencies when off his meds. (Christopher Polk / Getty Images)
Despite telling evidence on EBay, Nicolas Cage assures fans he’s not a vampire. The rumor started months ago when a seller on the auction site claimed to have proof that Cage was in fact a bloodsucker: a Civil War-era photo that of a man who resembled the star. This week Cage told Letterman, “I don’t drink blood, and last time I looked in the mirror I had a reflection.” (Luca Bruno / Associated Press)
