One would think Skrillex would be used to nabbing Grammys by now.

Having scored three statues last year, the former best new artist nominee was awarded another big night Sunday, taking home three awards and beating out Deadmau5, Kaskade and surprise nominee Al Walser along the way.

The dubstep spinster sheepishly emerged backstage (who doesn’t like dozens of reporters staring at you?), where he chatted about scoring Harmony Korine’s upcoming film “Spring Breakers,†working with ASAP Rocky and maintaining his underground credibility now that he’s dipped into the mainstream.

While the DJ was a wealth of soundbites (“It was like jumping into a pool of ice water and I couldn’t even breathe or think,†he said of his three wins), he was less game about offering details on new music.

“That’s kind of a thing, you know? I don’t do much press. I don’t like to talk about my music too much before I do it. You can take something in and if there’s a different perspective, it’s going to sway your opinion,†he said. “With ‘Bangarang,’ I didn’t make any announcement, no campaign. I just put it on my Facebook and some other places. That’s how I’ve done everything with my previous records. I’ve always kept it organic. If it’s working, I don’t want to take away from that.

“I want to expand on what organic means. The framework around the music industry is so different now. The electronic music scene came up from the underground and the medium of making music, it’s been made for so long, like hip-hop, even dancehall or New Wave, it’s all made electronically, but I think the difference is the culture where we come from is now getting the limelight. It’s all electronic music, but it’s based in the same platforms that music has been for years, anyway: samples, 808 kicks, whatever.â€
