Oscars 2015: The full list of nominees
“American Sniper,†“Birdman,†“Boyhood,†“The Grand Budapest Hotel,†“The Imitation Game,†“Selma,†“The Theory of Everything†and “Whiplash†are the eight best picture nominees heading into the 87th Academy Awards on Sunday.
“Birdman†and “The Grand Budapest Hotel†lead the field with nine Oscar nominations each, followed by “The Imitation Game†with eight.
Up for lead actor are Steve Carell in “Foxcatcher,†Bradley Cooper in “American Sniper,†Benedict Cumberbatch in “The Imitation Game,†Michael Keaton in “Birdman†and Eddie Redmayne in “The Theory of Everything.†The lead actress contenders are Marion Cotillard in “Two Days, One Night,†Felicity Jones in “The Theory of Everything,†Julianne Moore in “Still Alice,†Rosamund Pike in “Gone Girl†and Reese Witherspoon in “Wild.â€

The Academy Awards will be presented at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood and broadcast live on ABC. Neil Patrick Harris will host the telecast, which promises to be filled with musical numbers. The Oscar nominations were announced Jan. 15 in a live ceremony that for the first time presented the nominees in all 24 categories.
