WME taps former Microsoft executive Peter Klein as CFO
Talent agency William Morris Endeavor has tapped former Microsoft executive Peter Klein as its new chief financial officer.
Klein, who served as Microsoft’s chief financial officer from 2009 to June of this year, will also have financial oversight of IMG Worldwide, the sports agency and marketing concern that WME is acquiring for about $2.3 billion.
“The combination of WME and IMG creates a unique global platform in sports and entertainment, with tremendous growth potential,†said Klein in a statement.
Klein was at Microsoft for 11 years. Before becoming CFO, he held senior positions at its Server and Tools division and Microsoft Business division.
WME has yet to say who will run IMG for it once the sale closes.
