Arts Preview: Broadway comes to the Southland in touring shows for ‘Cabaret,’ ‘Chicago,’ ‘Kinky Boots’ and more

The 2015 Tony-winning musical “Fun Home,†based on Alison Bechdel’s bestselling graphic novel about growing up in a dysfunctional family, won’t see its national tour touch down in Southern California until summer 2017 (Aug. 1-6, 2017, at Segerstrom Center in Costa Mesa). Until then, here’s a list of other shows headed our way from the Great White Way in the coming months.

‘Beautiful — The Carole King Musical’

Tony-winning jukebox musical-bio charts the singer-songwriter’s life and career from 1960s Brill Building hit-making machine to solo success with her Grammy-winning 1971 album “Tapestry.†Read review >>
