‘Gangnam’ sequel: YouTube to live stream debut of Psy’s next single
Whether you’re ready or not for more, K-Pop rapper Psy is back and debuting his next single this weekend -- and you can watch it live on YouTube.
The video website said it will broadcast Psy’s concert in Seoul, where he’ll perform a song titled “Gentleman.†It’s a sequel to “Gangnam Style,†whose video became an overnight sensation and went viral, getting more than 1.5 billion views on YouTube.
“After putting Seoul’s Gangnam district on the map and single-handedly reviving the powder blue tux, Psy’s got big plans this weekend and you’re invited to get involved,†YouTube said in a blog Thursday.

Anyone can tune in and watch the concert live Saturday, but there’s a catch. If you want to watch it live, you’ll have to either stay past your bedtime or get up earlier than usual. The concert is being held at South Korea’s World Cup Stadium in Seoul at 6:30 p.m. local time, which for U.S. viewers will be 2:30 a.m. PDT, or 5:30 a.m. if you’re on the East Coast.
But if you want your sleep, just head over to Psy’s official YouTube page and you can watch the concert whenever you want.
The South Korean singer burst onto the global scene last year thanks to his “Gangnam Style†music video, which was the first on YouTube to gain more than a billion views, and people are still watching.
That’s a tough act to follow, but we’ll find out Saturday if Psy will be just another one-hit wonder. Does anybody remember Los del RÃo?
