Top Honor Goes to the L.A. Times Real Estate Section
NEW YORK CITY — The Los Angeles Times Real Estate section won for best large-circulation newspaper real estate or home section at the 52nd annual journalism competition sponsored by the National Assn. of Real Estate Editors.
Contest winners were announced last week at the Waldorf-Astoria hotel during the association’s annual real estate journalism conference.
The competition drew entries from 225 journalists across the United States, which competed in 15 categories. The contest was judged by a panel of faculty members at the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University. The association, founded in 1929, is the only professional group for journalists who cover residential and commercial real estate for the consumer and trade media. Members include reporters, editors, columnists and freelance writers working in print, broadcast and online media.
