NFL great Willie Roaf lands in Orange County

Hall of Fame offensive tackle Willie Roaf has traded the Inland Empire for the O.C.

Roaf, who sold his home in Riverside in December, has purchased a five-bedroom home in the Misty Ridge area of San Clemente for $1.27 million.

The Mediterranean-style residence rests on a hillside lot of about half an acre with wide views of the Santa Ana Mountains.

The 4,154 square feet of living space features vaulted interiors with clerestory windows, a center-island kitchen, a family room with custom built-ins and an office. A two-sided fireplace divides the formal living room and dining room areas.

The master suite sports his and hers walk-in closets, a fireplace, a sitting room and a private balcony overlooking the landscaped grounds. A large outdoor entertainer’s space, a covered barbecue area, expanses of grass and tall palms complete the setting.

The home came on the market in August with an asking price of $1.299 million, records show. Jeff Stearman of Keller Williams OCC Realty was the listing agent. Lisa Adams of First Team Real Estate represented Roaf in the sale, according to the Multiple Listing Service.

Roaf, 44, played 13 seasons for the New Orleans Saints and Kansas City Chiefs, earning six first-team All-Pro selections and 11 Pro Bowl nods. He was enshrined at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, in 2012.
