Actor Wilford Brimley, known as much for his signature handlebar mustache as for his notable roles in such films as “Cocoon,” has listed his 276-acre ranch in Greybull, Wyo., for sale at $1.25 million.
Brimley, foregoing the bright light of Hollywood for a more pastoral setting, has made the ranch his home for a number of years, using the property to raise horses and cattle as well as to host rodeo events.
Found at the base of the Bighorn Mountains, the property includes a number of historic structures, including a three-bedroom house built in 1950, a two-bedroom log cabin built in 1946 and a blacksmith’s cabin, which the owner is seen using in the listing photos.
Among its horse facilities, the ranch counts an arena, a loafing shed with horse runs and a 3,600-square-foot cinder block shop. Additional ancillary structures include corrals, tool sheds and a grain bed.
Randy Shelton of Hall and Hall is the listing agent.
Brimley, 79, is known for his roles in “Cocoon” (1985), “The Natural” (1984) and “The Thing” (1982), as well as national ad campaigns for Quaker Oats and Liberty Medical.
