Ex-Clipper Quentin Richardson lists mansion at half of what he paid

Former Los Angeles Clippers wing Quentin Richardson has listed his mansion in Palos Heights, Ill., for sale at $1.1 million.

The Chicago native and DePaul University star originally paid $2.2 million for the property in 2006, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The contemporary residence, built in 2002, spans 10,900 square feet across two stories with an indoor pool and spa, a vaulted foyer, a chef’s kitchen, an office, a formal living room, five bedrooms and six fireplaces. The master suite features a large walk-in closet and a separate sitting room set behind sliding glass doors.

Among its amenities, the home counts a finished basement level containing a theater room, game room, weight room and a wet bar with custom lighting. A screened porch opens onto the half-acre grounds, which include a paver patio, expansive lawns and a gazebo.

Richardson, 34, was drafted 18th overall by the Clippers in 2000 and played four seasons in Los Angeles before departing as a free agent in 2004. He holds career averages of 10.3 points a game and 4.7 rebounds a game across 13 NBA seasons with the Clippers, Suns, Knicks, Heat and Magic.
