Ex-49ers QB Jeff Garcia lists Rancho Santa Fe home at $7.75 million
Jeff Garcia, the retired NFL quarterback who was named quarterbacks coach of the Montreal Alouettes in early August, has called an audible on his estate in Rancho Santa Fe, listing the property for sale at $7.75 million.
The Mediterranean-style residence, built in 1987, sports an Old World ambiance with exposed beams, detailed woodwork and metal finishes throughout 11,000 square feet of living space.
Opening through a vaulted foyer with a sweeping staircase, the home contains a gourmet kitchen with three ovens, a library, a dining room, an office, a wine cellar, six bedrooms, six fireplaces and eight full bathrooms.
An elevator, a master suite with a gym and steam shower and a living room with a stone fireplace and wet bar are among the features. A guest house adds an additional bedroom suite and kitchen.
Outdoors, a swimming pool and spa with rock and waterfall features sits among tropical landscaping and custom lighting. A covered entertainer’s patio, an outdoor kitchen and fire pit also reside within the park-like grounds.
Garcia, 44, joined the San Francisco 49ers in 1999 and made three Pro Bowls in five seasons with the team. The former San Jose State product also played for the Browns, Buccaneers, Lions, Eagles and Texans over the course of 12 NFL seasons.
Property records show Garcia and his wife, former Playmate of the Year Carmella DeCesare, purchased the property in March 2009 for $6.565 million.
