Veteran music producer and executive Jay Landers and his wife, Despina, have listed their home in the Beverly Hills Post Office area for sale at $4.195 million.

Set atop a knoll, on a private cul-de-sac, the country Traditional home was once owned by Landers’ father, late music publisher Hal Landers. It was during the elder Landers’ ownership, roughly four decades ago, that architect Steven Ehrlich was commissioned to renovate and expand the house, originally a World War II-era bungalow, in the Arts and Crafts style.

Today, the house retains the classic imprint of the project. Brickwork, clapboard siding and a shake-shingle roof lend a charming look to the 3,043-square-foot house. A hexagon-shaped ceiling lined in Douglas fir panels tops the master suite, and the 750-square-foot sunroom addition retains its vaulted ceilings and walls of windows.

The living room, sun-lit by a large bay window, shares a two-sided fireplace with the library. A dining room, a separate office, four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms complete the floor plan.

Brick patios surround the swimming pool in the backyard. The 1.41-acre property also includes a cascading waterfall feature, lawn and mature landscaping. Views take in the treetops and canyon.

Landers and his wife bought the home in 2004 for about $2.187 million, records show. They own other property on the East Coast.

Melinda and Scott Tamkin of Compass hold the listing.

Landers, a West Los Angeles native, for decades has served as an executive producer and supervisor for Barbra Streisand’s catalog of work. His other projects include songs and albums for artists such as Barry Manilow, Josh Groban and Natalie Cole.

He has produced and contributed to the soundtracks for the Disney films “Beauty and the Beast†and Aladdin.â€
