Emilio Estevez reloads Malibu compound and vineyard at $6.995 million
A Malibu compound owned by Emilio Estevez of “The Mighty Ducks†film fame has returned to the Multiple Listing Service at $6.995 million, down about $800,000 from when it was last on the market.
Set on more than an acre in the Point Dume area, the gated home features vineyards used in the production of Casa Dumetz, a wine label started by Estevez and his partner, Sonja Magdevski.
The Mediterranean-style home, built in 2008, has a formal entry, a living room set beneath truss-beam ceilings, a dining room, four bedrooms and five bathrooms in 3,731 square feet of space. Limestone fireplaces, hand-painted frescoes and stained glass are among the Old World interior details.
Adjacent to the main house is a seperate guesthouse with a wine-tasting room. Fruit orchards, garden beds, a bocce ball court and a swimming pool and spa complete the coastal setting.
Estevez, 53, is an actor and director known for his work in “The Breakfast Club,†“St. Elmo’s Fire†and “Young Guns.†He is the oldest son of actors Martin and Janet Sheen.
He paid $2.2 million for the property in 2002, public records show.
