PGA golfer Dustin Johnson gets $6.25 million for waterfront home

Professional golfer Dustin Johnson has parted ways with his home in Jupiter, Fla., selling the waterfront property for $6.25 million.

The Mediterranean-style residence, built in 2007, sits back from the street behind a gated drive on about three-quarters of an acre in Pennock Point. Entered through a vaulted foyer, the two-story floor plan includes a gourmet kitchen, a living room with a wet bar, a formal dining room, six bedrooms and eight bathrooms in 7,860 square feet of living space.

Among features is a media room with tiered seating and a billiards/game room. The master suite comes complete with a large soaking tub and a walk-in closet.

Outdoors, landscaped grounds center on an outdoor loggia with a fireplace and al fresco dining area. A putting green, pool and private dockage complete the resort-like settting.

The 30-year-old, who has made more than $24.5 million for his career, announced in July that he was taking an extended leave from the PGA Tour for personal reasons. He is engaged to Paulina Gretzky, the daughter of hockey great Wayne Gretzky.

Johnson purchased the property in 2011 for $3.7 million, records show. He had asked as much as $6.5 million for the home before pulling it from the market in July. The Real Deal identified the buyer as Alexandre Ismail, president and chief executive of Honeywell Automation and Control Solutions.

Jeremy Browne of Hughes Realty Group Inc. listed the property on behalf of Johnson. Melanie Barre of Coastal Sotheby’s International Realty represented the buyer in the sale, which closed Monday.
