MMA’s Brendan Schaub knocks out a home sale in West L.A.
Despite some cosmetic touch-ups, Brendan Schaub couldn’t quite break even on his home sale in West L.A.
The comedian and former pro mixed martial artist has sold his two-story home near the Santa Monica Airport for $2.17 million. That’s $2,500 less than he paid for it last year, records show.
The gated estate was completely remodeled in 2017, and Schaub added some elements of his own, splashing a bit of black onto the stark white façade. Inside, high ceilings and wide-plank hardwood floors fill the 3,635-square-foot floor plan.
Living spaces include a two-story living room, formal dining room, office and indoor-outdoor family room. The center-island kitchen offers white cabinetry, Caesarstone countertops and a tile backsplash.
Slightly vaulted ceilings top the master suite, which expands to a bathroom with a freestanding tub. In total, there are five bedrooms and 3.75 bathrooms.
The frontyard holds a number of palm trees, and out back, a patio adjoins a lawn bordered by privacy hedges.
Shelton Wilder of Douglas Elliman held the listing. Gina Alaina Longo of Pinnacle Estate Properties represented the buyer.
Schaub, 35, won 10 fights and lost five over the course of his MMA career, which stretched from 2008 to 2014. After retiring, he co-created the podcast “The Fighter and the Kid†with comedian-actor Bryan Callen.
