Baseball fans, take note: major league pitcher Barry Zito has listed his designer home, which includes a hillside pitcher’s mound, in Hollywood Hills West for sale at $4.2 million.

The second of Zito’s Los Angeles properties to hit the market this year, the 1990 contemporary sits atop Sunset Plaza Drive on more than three-quarters of an acre with a patio, pool and fire pit. The 4,831 square feet of living space features an open floor plan with vaulted ceilings and floor-to-ceiling walls of glass that create light and volume while opening interiors to sprawling views from the San Gabriel Mountains to Santa Catalina Island.

Showcasing a modern touch, a custom fish tank adds a unique design element to a raised dining room and living room space, which has a fireplace and grand piano. The master suite sports colored tile and wallpaper and counts a fireplace, generous dressing room and a spa-like bath among its features.

Records show that Zito paid $2 million for the home in February 2003. Bruce Walker of Rodeo Realty and Sharon Hills of Kobeissi Properties co-listed the property.

The property is the latest of the Zito’s real estate portfolio to come to market in California this year. He previously listed a home in the Bird Streets neighborhood of Hollywood Hills West for sale in February for $4.375 million. The 1962 contemporary has since seen its price adjusted to slightly less than $4 million.

The free agent also continues to shop his two-acre home in Marin County, which was up for lease at $28,500 a month in February, but has since relisted for sale at $9.775 million.

Zito, 36, most recently pitched in 2013 for the San Francisco Giants, where he played seven seasons and helped win two World Series championships. The left-hander began his career with the Oakland Athletics and won the American League Cy Young Award in 2002.
