Check out the Park People, a monster snake and watch Beatles LOVE rehersals
Park People Phenomenon
Renowned artist Nathan Sawaya has created life-size, bright primary-colored, monochromatic human figures crafted entirely from Lego bricks, situated on park benches in the Park on the Strip. The figures will be on display through Dec. 30. Sawaya is an award-winning artist and founder of “The Art of the Brick†global touring exhibition. His critically acclaimed works of art are made entirely of Lego bricks and on exhibition at various institutes and galleries around the world. People can cozy up to and take pictures with the “Park People,†Sawaya’s first exhibit in Las Vegas.
Monster Snake Impresses
A realistic replica of the world’s largest prehistoric snake is on exhibit at the Las Vegas Natural History Museum through Jan. 8. Slithering in at 48 feet long and an estimated one-and-a-half tons, “Titanoboa: Monster Snake†includes the snake replica and two vertebrae casts made from the original fossils— a 17-foot-long modern green anaconda and the vertebra from Titanoboa. Videos produced by the Smithsonian Channel tell the story of this scientific discovery in Colombia of the 60-million-year-old snake. The snake is part of a national tour organized by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service Museum. Admission starts at $10 for adults.
