Nightclub owner fatally shot in Rolls-Royce in Baldwin Hills
A 67-year-old nightclub owner was fatally shot to death early Friday morning after a gunman apparently followed him as he drove home in his Rolls-Royce, Los Angeles police said.
The man was shot twice in the chest while he was sitting in his car in front of his home at Hillcrest and Don Milagro drives in Baldwin Hills.
Police said his wife reported hearing a single gunshot about 2:30 a.m. and seeing a man running away.
The nightclub owner has both a black and a white Rolls-Royce. He was driving the $300,000 white car, which rolled into a neighbor’s house across the street after the shooting.
Police stressed that the investigation is in the early stages, but it appears that he had been followed home.
The man’s identity was not released.
