Up next for Chivas USA: Saturday vs. Columbus
Chivas USA tonightVS. COLUMBUS When: 7:30.
Where: Home Depot Center.
On the air: TV: Prime Ticket, Ch. 22; Radio: 690.
Records: Chivas USA 4-9-3, Crew 10-3-4.
Record vs. Crew: 0-1.
Update: Saturday night’s game matches the first-place team in the East against the last-place team in the West. In other words, on paper this one should belong to MLS all-stars Guillermo Barros Schelotto, Chad Marshall and the rest of the Crew. But Chivas USA has lost only once at home to Columbus, and that was in 2005. So Coach Martin Vasquez’s side cannot be counted out, even if left back Jonathan Bornstein is sidelined by a knee injury and right back Mariano Trujillo will serve a one-game suspension after previously playing every minute of this season. Carlos Borja will start in Trujillo’s place. The Crew won the only previous game between the teams this year, 1-0, in Columbus, Ohio, in May on a last-minute goal by Schelotto.
