Royals continue mastery of Tigers, 11-1
Kansas City 11, at Detroit 1: The last-place Royals have beaten the AL Central-leading Tigers five straight times. Alberto Callaspo, David DeJesus and Miguel Olivo hit three-run homers.
at Baltimore 10, Tampa Bay 5: Rookie catcher Matt Wieters homered and had a career-high five RBIs for the Orioles, who erased a five-run deficit.
at Minnesota 5, Cleveland 4: Nick Punto had three hits and two RBIs, and Joe Nathan reached 40 saves for the third time in his career.
Oakland 6, at Texas 1: Rajai Davis matched a career best with four RBIs for the A’s. Michael Young, who missed two weeks because of a hamstring injury, returned to the Texas lineup, but left after one at-bat. The Rangers fell to 1-4 on their homestand.
Chicago 6, at Seattle 3: A.J. Pierzynski had three hits and two RBIs and scored twice for the White Sox.
at Boston 4, Angels 1: Daisuke Matsuzaka, back after three months on the disabled list, pitched six shutout innings.
