AT DETROIT

When: 4:30 PDT.

Where: Joe Louis Arena.

On the air: TV: FS West; Radio, 1150.

Records: Kings 4-2-0; Red Wings 2-3-0.

Update: Jonathan Quick is expected to start in goal after resting Wednesday while Erik Ersberg allowed four goals on 21 shots in the Kings’ 4-2 loss to the New York Rangers. With a goal against the Rangers, Ryan Smyth is the only King who has recorded at least one point in every game this season (five goals, nine points). The defending West champion Red Wings are expected to make some lineup changes after a 6-2 loss to Buffalo on Tuesday, bringing back grinding forwards Kirk Maltby and Kris Draper and defenseman Brett Lebda. Center Pavel Datsyuk, among the NHL’s scoring leaders last season, is questionable because of an upper-body injury.
