The Hawks, attempting to tie Phoenix for the NBA’s best record, dropped to 11-4. They missed a chance to improve to 8-0 at home for the first time since 1993-94. Orlando wiped away the disappointment of a one-point home loss to Miami on Wednesday night with its sixth win in seven games. Atlanta, which has dropped two straight following a seven-game winning streak, blew a 14-point lead after Joe Johnson banked in a jumper to begin the third quarter. Johnson finished with 22 points for the Hawks, who fell a half-game behind Orlando for the Eastern Conference and Southeast Division lead.

at Utah 105, Chicago 86: Carlos Boozer scored 28 points on 12-for-14 shooting and the Jazz beat the slumping Bulls. Boozer also had eight rebounds, five assists and three blocks to help the Jazz improve to 8-7 and end a three-game losing streak to the Bulls. Deron Williams had 21 points and six assists for the Jazz, which made 10 of its first 11 shots in the fourth quarter. Luol Deng had 26 points and eight rebounds for Chicago, and Derrick Rose had 19 points. The Bulls have lost four straight.
