Someone needs to put safety first
Re “Runaway Toyota cases ignored,” Nov. 8
How many deaths does it take for Toyota to wake up and recall all of its cars with this possible acceleration problem? Just one death is enough for a recall in my opinion. Who can put a price on the value of a human life?
And why can’t the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration unplug its ears, hear the cries of grieving families and do the thing it was put in place to do: investigate a safety problem?
Is the big dollar sign from Japan too tempting for them? It will never outweigh the value of that first person who lost his life.
