Chelsea soccer fan takes dental hygiene to extreme level
Preparing for the big match in London, an English soccer fan runs down his mental check list. Ticket? Check. Supporter’s scarf? Check. Toothbrush? What, did you even have to ask?
An unnamed Chelsea fan has achieved YouTube fame by standing behind the Chelsea bench and brushing his teeth while the team was preparing to send in a substitute during its 1-0 victory over Manchester United.
The fan, taking dental hygiene to an extreme that was previously unimaginable, can be seen in a blue top and dark sunglasses while chewing on a white toothbrush.
Asked by a BBC Radio 5 reporter about his in-game equipment, the fan said he didn’t have time to brush at home -- and was wearing the dark glasses so his ex-girlfriend, also at the match, didn’t see him.
Guess she knows he was at the match now.

Nature wins again
During his 1970s heyday as an ABA superstar, Artis Gilmore was listed at two playing heights: 7 feet 6 with his Afro, 7 feet 2 without.
When Gilmore recently attended the Chicago Bulls tipoff luncheon, a reporter from the Chicago Sun-Times jokingly asked Gilmore what happened to all that hair.
“I actually went to Nature for a haircut,” he said. “And I specifically asked Nature just to give me a little trim. But Nature decided to take more, most all of it off. I got litigation against Nature.”
Beware the Big Baby
Boston Celtics forward Glen “Big Baby” Davis was musing recently about wanting to give pro football a shot someday. And that got Dan Daly of the Washington Times to thinking.
“Imagine the possibilities: A 6-foot-9, 290-pound tight end,” Daly wrote. “A 6-9, 290-pound offensive tackle. A 6-9, 290-pound defensive end. A 6-9, 290-pound outside linebacker. Heck, I’d give him $5 million a year just to see him kick off . . .
