Re “Energy project leaves Army cold,” Oct. 30
Anyone who ever studied the basics of thermodynamics must know that separate production of heat and power is always more expensive than a combined one. Therefore the Alaska project was economically doomed from the start.
However, I would suggest that there was no fraud or a desire to enrich the company or individuals -- simply incompetence brilliantly demonstrated by all parties involved.
