I am an attorney and after reviewing the various articles concerning Manny’s suspension, I can’t figure what the hell he did or did not do wrong. Since the Dodgers’ marquee player has been suspended, MLB owes baseball fans everywhere accountability and transparency in this matter.

That last time the Dodgers were in San Francisco, Barry Bonds couldn’t stop talking about how the Giants should have signed Manny Ramirez. Now I understand why.

We live in a society where children are fed Ritalin like candy and girls get plastic surgery as a Sweet 16 present. Every day people get lifts, tucks, plugs, botox, collagen, etc. Why should we be indignant that baseball, in addition to other sports, mirrors our society? It makes me nostalgic for the good old days when the only player with “roids†was George Brett during the 1980 World Series.

Frank McCourt, discussing the Manny Ramirez situation, has said, “We can sit and dwell on the past, but I’m not going to do that.â€

Well, Frank, you pay these guys millions based on past performance, and I dwell on the past when I go to Dodger Stadium, I dwell on what used to be $14 field-level seats, $2.50 hot dogs, $5 parking, and $4 beers.
