Proposition 1D: An article in Monday’s California section on the state Democratic Party’s convention debate over the May 19 ballot measures incompletely described the impact of Proposition 1D. The article stated that the measure would “free for other purposes more than $600 million now dedicated to children’s programs.” The measure would affect that amount of money in 2009-10, plus $268 million per year for four additional years.
