Losing Lackey?
In this recession, in a state that has been particularly hard hit with over 10% unemployment, John Lackey should think twice about behaving like a crybaby in the media because he thinks the Angels should be falling at his feet with a new contract worth almost $20 million a year. Get the sign from the catcher, John, throw the ball and keep your big mouth shut.

Although I don’t believe Lackey is worth anything near $20 million a year, I do wish the Angels would at least put an offer on the table instead of putting themselves in this all-too-familiar situation with their soon-to-be free agents.
