I know The Times’ main demographic probably doesn’t consist of teens or twentysomethings -- Drake’s main fans -- but I know you definitely struck base with a youthful reader, and I’m sure there are other young readers who also enjoyed the article (“The Making of Hip-Hop’s New Prince,” July 19). Often I’ll notice that the media/press get too caught up in an artist’s songs and forget to inform us about how the artist got to where he or she is. On the contrary, I learned a great deal about Drake’s career and prior productions; I found out that he had more on his resume than his hit song “Best I Ever Had.” I look forward to reading more of Chris Lee’s stories and specifically, about artists relevant to the overlooked demographic.
