A fourth person has died from the swine flu in San Diego County, officials said Tuesday.
San Diego now has 531 confirmed cases and four deaths from the disease. The latest victim was a 50-year-old woman.
The county was one of the first places in the nation to report an outbreak of H1N1 flu virus.
Dr. Wilma Wooten, the county’s public health officer, urged people with flu symptoms to stay home from work or school and see a doctor.
California has had 1,658 confirmed cases of swine flu and 23 deaths, according to health officials.
