Los Angeles Fairfax plays host to Westchester
No. 2 Westchester (16-1, 3-0) at
No. 5 Los Angeles Fairfax (12-2, 2-0)
Tonight, 7.
Why it matters: A limited number of tickets will go on sale at 3:15 p.m. at Fairfax for this showdown between long-time City Section powers. Westchester has the advantage at the guard position, where senior point guard Dominique O’Connor has been enjoying a breakout season, and junior Jordin Mayes continues to assert himself as a scorer. Fairfax has 6-foot-11 Renardo Sidney, who scored 39 points on Wednesday against LACES. USC-bound Solomon Hill also looms large for the Lions in this first of two scheduled Western League meetings.
