Re “Fire chiefs debate ‘stay and defend’ †Jan. 13
It’s good to see some of the fire leadership considering support for the residents who choose to stay and defend their homes.
Rather than purchase a few more million-dollar engines and then pay for the crews, why not support the “stay and defend†residents with training and perhaps some aid in purchasing fire retardant for their neighborhoods?
There are lots of us retired fire personnel who could be more effective if supported this way.
