A federal appeals court sided with Johnson & Johnson in a long-running patent dispute with rival Boston Scientific Corp. over technology used in artery-opening stents.
The Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit reversed a 2005 decision against J&J; by a lower court that found that the New Brunswick, N.J., company’s Cypher stent violated a patent held by Boston Scientific, of Natick, Mass. Boston Scientific said it was considering challenging the decision.
