What will they do for an Encore?

I am a frequent visitor to Las Vegas and I appreciate the great picture you painted of the new Encore resort [“Encore Steals the Show,” Dec. 28]. Normally, I pass right by the Travel section, but this article caught my eye.
I’m going to Vegas for New Year’s (as I do every year), and I think you helped me make up my mind about where to stay, eat and play.
Christopher Reynolds’ review was comprehensive, funny and informative. When I thought it was over, then came more with the restaurant reviews. Loved it!
Thanks for your great article. Consider me a frequent visitor of the Travel section from now on.

Is big and fancy the answer to a depressed Vegas economy? Steve Wynn thinks so with his new $2.3-billion Encore hotel-casino.
The new Encore was designed to lure the most wealthy and sophisticated gamblers in town and charge them top dollar for the privilege of losing their money.
What I’m wondering is what will they do, and who will do it, for an encore to the new Encore?
