Re “Spirit of sacrifice sweeps city,” Feb. 19
It looks like the police in Redlands -- who volunteered for furloughs -- got the message that we are all in the same rocky boat, and that if we don’t pull together for the common good, we may all very well sink.
Cpl. Kelvin Bryant’s comment that “it can’t be me, me, me all of the time” is right on.
Redlands police have chosen the high road in these difficult economic times and are taking hits from other officers for their leadership. I thank them for their integrity. It’s much easier to bear a burden when you know everyone is sharing the pain.
Redlands sounds like a great place to live and work.
