Although I agree with Dan Toporek, vice president of corporate communications for Travelocity.com, about how to deal with poor room choices after booking online [“In for a Shock?” Feb. 15], I have to add my 2 cents. The key for someone traveling is to educate themselves so they know what to expect when booking a hotel online. It takes a little time and some concentrated effort, but it’s well worth it.
