Tim Duncan just misses triple-double in Spurs’ win
San Antonio 108, at New Jersey 93: Tim Duncan had 27 points, nine rebounds and eight assists and the Spurs beat the Nets for the 13th straight time. Vince Carter scored 25 points for New Jersey, which lost its second straight game after winning a season-high four straight.
Denver 99, at Miami 82: Chauncey Billups scored 13 of his 23 points in the fourth quarter, Carmelo Anthony finished with 19 points and nine rebounds, and the Nuggets swept the series with the Heat for the fourth consecutive year. Dwyane Wade scored 33 for Miami.
at Atlanta 111, Washington 90: Joe Johnson scored 22 points as the Hawks bounced back emphatically from their worst loss of the season, Saturday’s embarrassing 121-97 home defeat to the Clippers.
Toronto 110, at Minnesota 102: Jason Kapono scored 18 points on seven-for-10 shooting as a reserve. Both teams were missing their stars. Minnesota center Al Jefferson is out for the season because of a knee injury; Toronto All-Star forward Chris Bosh has missed the last three games.
at Dallas 118, Sacramento 100: Josh Howard and Antoine Wright each had 23 points as the Mavericks won their first game without injured sixth man Jason Terry.
at Chicago 107, Detroit 102: Ben Gordon converted the go-ahead four-point play, Derrick Rose and Tyrus Thomas made strong contributions late, and the Bulls outscored the Pistons, 17-2, in the last 3 1/2 minutes. Detroit was without Allen Iverson, who reported flu-like symptoms.
at Golden State 144, New York 127: Stephen Jackson had 35 points, leading eight Warriors who scored in double figures. The Knicks lost their fifth in a row.
at Lakers 105, Oklahoma City 98: Kobe Bryant scored 34 points and Pau Gasol had 22 in the Lakers’ seventh consecutive victory.
