A parolee shot and killed a woman and her adult son Saturday morning before kidnapping his ex-girlfriend and eventually killing himself, authorities said.
Joey Demello, 25, killed the 48-year-old woman and her 21-year-old son in their home in the 2700 block of East Chaparral Street, according to a news release from the Ontario Police Department.
Officers found the two victims about 5:25 a.m., police said. Their identities had not been released.
Demello then kidnapped his former girlfriend, Ashlee Saldana, who had been dating the 21-year-old, said a department spokesman.
A warrant was issued for Demello’s arrest and he was later found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound in a trailer park near Needles, the release said.
Police said Saldana was found nearby and uninjured.
