Jivan Tabibian, Armenian ambassador to Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia from 2000 to 2005, who earlier co-owned Remi restaurant in Santa Monica, died July 31 in Vienna of heart failure after a long illness. He was 71.
