United Online Inc. posted a second-quarter profit of $17.7 million, or 21 cents a share, compared with $12.8 million, or 18 cents, a year earlier. Revenue surged 113% to $260.8 million.
The Woodland Hills Internet company’s results were helped by the acquisition last year of FTD Group Inc.
Before the earnings news, United Online shares fell 2 cents to close at $9.02.
