While national cartoons invested heavily in the global financial meltdown, piped up with plenty of Joe the Plumber cracks and endlessly framed the election endgame, what about the state of the Golden State?
Steve Breen reduced Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger to a panhandling bum. Rex Babin, applying his savoir-faire to an unsavory affair, espoused on behalf of same-sex unions. Finally, give Steve Greenberg plenty of props for penning about confined-feeding operations. Presumably, corporate agribusiness mouthpieces would argue that all those pigs really need is some lipstick.
