Pet peeve as a serious matter

Please, whereas most hotels/motels are now smoke free, those of us with severe, even life-threatening allergies are exposed to animal allergens that make our stay uncomfortable to downright impossible [“Sit! Stay!,” Sept. 21].
Even when I have checked to make sure there is a no-animal policy I have been put in rooms that reek of wet-dog smell.
