Update -- Kings goaltender Erik Ersberg is expected to make his eighth consecutive start. He has a 5-2-1 record since making his 2008-09 starting debut against the Ducks on Nov. 4. The Kings have given up the fewest shots in the NHL and have outshot their opponents the last 10 games. The Avalanche has won only three of its last 10 games and Joe Sakic has sat out five of the last six games because of a back injury.
