The disappearing act at the newsstand continues: One week after Hearst announced that O at Home would cease publishing, Time Inc. has pulled the plug on Cottage Living. The magazine launched in 2004 and grew its circulation base to more than 1 million. But the industrywide advertising slump continues to claim its victims, including House & Garden, Home and Martha Stewart’s Blueprint. The New York Observer reported that “speculation is swirling” within Conde Nast’s offices that Domino, the company’s home-meets-fashion title, is in jeopardy too. A Conde Nast spokeswoman confirmed that Domino’s ad revenue is down this year but said that readership remains ahead of projections.
